MenuSmith Help¶
MenuSmith turns the Finder shortcut menu into a workspace you arrange yourself. Add useful Actions, group them into a menu that makes sense to you, and run them from the files and folders already in front of you.
Start here¶
- Set up MenuSmith and confirm that its Finder extension is enabled.
- Build My Finder Menu from the Action Library.
- Explore Settings for menu behavior, the Finder toolbar, Pro, appearance, backups, import and export, and Advanced options.
- Understand Authorized Folders before using Actions that create or change files.
- Browse all Actions.
The MenuSmith model¶
My Finder Menu is the menu MenuSmith shows in Finder. Action Library is where you browse available Actions and starter configurations. Select a Menu Action to edit its title, icon, availability, and Action-specific settings in the Inspector.
MenuSmith runs only the Actions you choose. Actions appear when at least one of their saved availability rules matches the current Finder context.
